Milwaukee man seriously injured following Dodge County crash
TOWN OF RUBICON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 23-year-old Milwaukee man has been seriously injured following a crash involving a semi-truck in Dodge County, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched at approximately 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 to a crash on County Road N at Goodland Rd. in the Town of Rubicon.
According to DCSO, the initial investigation indicates that a 2021 Infiniti car was traveling northbound on Goodland when it failed to stop at a stop sign and was hit by a westbound 2024 Western Star semi-truck on County Road N.
The impact reportedly pushed the car into the north ditch, where both vehicles came to rest.
The driver of the Infiniti suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was transported paramedics, then flown by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa where he was also arrested for operating while impaired.
The semi-truck driver, a 35-year-old man from Wheeling, Ill., was uninjured and released from the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.
