MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 35-year-old Milwaukee man is facing arson charges for a fire set near 46th and Lisbon, according to a criminal complaint from Milwaukee County Circuit Court.

Breonteze Little is accused of intentionally damaging a building that was under renovations on Tuesday, June 18.

The fire was discovered by a contractor around 8 a.m. A pile of paper towels was found burning inside the foyer, causing minor damage to the carpet.

Surveillance footage from nearby businesses identified Little as the suspect, according to officials. He was arrested on Thursday, June 20 at the Milwaukee County Courthouse, where he was attending a hearing for previous charges.

Potentially adding to the severity of the charges is that Milwaukee police are also investigating a series of similar fires in the city.

On the same morning as the aforementioned fire near 46th and Lisbon, several other fires were reported near 49th and Lisbon, and later near 9th and West Hadley. In total, 15 fires were identified, some involving structures and others targeting garbage containers.

Authorities believe the same person may be responsible for all of the fires, and an investigation is ongoing.
