MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Police are investigating a shooting that killed a 31-year-old Milwaukee man Monday, July 17.

He was identified Tuesday by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office as John Schutte.

Officials say it happened just after 4:30 p.m. near 36th and Pierce. 

A 26-year-old Milwaukee woman arrived at a local hospital for treatment of gunshot injuries. She was then taken into custody.

Police continue to search for additional suspects. 

Charges are pending review at the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
