MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Night Market is set to make its third appearance this summer on West Wisconsin Ave. between 2nd Street and Vel R. Phillips Avenue.

Hosted by Westown Association, the event on Wednesday, Aug. 16, from 5 to 10 p.m. will feature over 100 local vendors, artists and performers.

DJ Shawna, the official DJ of the Milwaukee Bucks, will entertain the crowd from 8 to 10 p.m. alongside DJ Gid Money, Salsabrosita and other performers. Attendees can also participate in activities like Amped's Mobile Karaoke Suite.

The Night Market is also integrating Downtown Employee Appreciation Week by offering a complimentary beverage ticket to the first 100 downtown employees to visit the Night Market Info Tent with a business card or employee badge.

Road accommodations include W. Wisconsin Ave. closing at 10 a.m. for event setup and reopening after midnight, with specific closures at 2nd St. and Vel R. Phillips Ave.

Anyone planning to attend is encouraged to utilize the $3 parking rate at The Avenue structure or public transit such as The Hop and MCTS.

This is one of the two final Milwaukee Night Markets of the year, along with a Wednesday, Sept. 13 date.
