Milwaukee police: 16-year-old arrested following pursuit of stolen vehicle

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 16-year-old boy was arrested following a police pursuit of a stolen vehicle in Milwaukee. 

It happened late Sunday night, June 18. 

Police say just after 10:30 p.m., officers attempted to stop a vehicle without plates near 80th Street and Winfield Avenue; the vehicle matched the description of a vehicle wanted in robbery. 

The driver did not stop and a vehicle pursuit ensued. 

Police say near Winfield and Bender, the fleeing driver exited the vehicle and ran into a residence.

A tactical setup was initiated and a search warrant executed. 

The suspect, a 16-year-old Milwaukee boy, was arrested without further incident. 

The vehicle was determined to be stolen. 

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
