Milwaukee Police: 16-year-old killed after shots fired into vehicle near 55th and Casper

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 16-year-old is dead following a shooting near 55th and Casper.

It happened around 7:50 p.m. on Saturday.

According to police, a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old were passengers in a vehicle when shots were fired into the car. 

The driver of that vehicle then drove to a local hospital.

The 16-year-old was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

The 18-year-old man is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
