Milwaukee police arrest man after vehicle pursuit ends in crash

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police arrested a 23-year-old man after a vehicle pursuit ended in a crash near 13th and Wells late Monday, Oct. 7. According to MPD, the driver lost control of a stolen vehicle, which then collided with a pole.

The crash occurred Monday at around 11:24 p.m.

Officers had attempted to stop the car near 6th and Mineral for a traffic violation, but police say the driver refused to stop and fled recklessly.

The driver, the sole occupant, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries. Suspected illegal narcotics were reportedly recovered from the vehicle.

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
