Milwaukee police officer pleads not guilty to sexual assault

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee police officer was in court Wednesday facing sexual assault and disorderly conduct charges after allegedly groping a woman at an event with other police department staff in January.

The victim alleges Officer Travis Jung made inappropriate comments towards her and propositioned her to come back to his hotel with him and his wife.

After beginning to walk away, she says he slapped her butt and later grabbed her underneath her clothes without her consent.

In court Wednesday Jung pleaded not guilty to the charges and a signature bond of $3,500 was set.

If convicted of both, Jung could face up to a year in jail and up to $11,000 in fines.

He's due back in court June 14.
