Milwaukee police seek suspects accused of exchanging fire with off-duty officer

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are searching for suspects who they say shot at an off-duty officer Tuesday, Aug. 13. 

It happened near 37th and Orchard on the city's south side around 12:43 a.m.

Police say the officer heard the sound of breaking glass and saw two people standing near a car. 

Shots were exchanged, with the two people firing first, according to MPD. The officer was not hurt, and the suspects ran away.

Police don't know if they were hit.
