Milwaukee Public Schools to dismiss early Sept. 5 due to extreme heat

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) announced all schools will be dismissed early on Tuesday, Sept. 5 due to extreme heat.
Breakfast and lunch will be served, but all after-school, recreation, and athletic programs will be cancelled.
MPS says all schools will start at their regular times with the following dismissal times:
- Schools that begin at 7:25 a.m. will be dismissed at 11:00 a.m.
- Schools that begin at 8:00 a.m. will be dismissed at 11:50 a.m.
- Schools that begin at 9:05 a.m. will be dismissed at 12:50 p.m.
- Schools that begin at 9:10 a.m. will be dismissed at 12:50 p.m.
- Schools that begin at 9:15 a.m. will be dismissed at 12:50 p.m.
