MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's next batch of athletes laced up their gym shoes and ran over to Wick Playfield for a day of outdoor fun Friday.
For the fourth year in a row, Ultimate Sports Day has let students test their skills in a wide variety of sports.
Instructors helped these young athletes work on their jump shot and perfect that home run swing.
A day that not only prepares students for their next game, but for success in the future as well.
"It's lifelong wellness," said Alex Brown, manager of youth sports at Milwaukee Recreation. "If you know how to play a sport and could play it for life, it goes beyond just college. These are lifelong skills. If you know how to play certain sports, it carries you on for life, and you never know who you can meet through sports."
