Milwaukee woman arrested after allegedly abusing nursing home patient while she worked as CNA
WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee woman has now been arrested after allegedly abusing a nursing home patient in Waukesha County where she worked as a CNA.
Alfreda Simmons, 62, is facing charges of Recklessly Abusing Patients, Causing Bodily Harm.
According to the criminal complaint, Muskego Police were called to a local hospital on June 20 for a report of an elderly woman who was brought in with a leg injury. The victim reported that her diaper was being changed by a CNA, later identified as Simmons, when she was too rough with her. Simmons allegedly slammed her against a wall and may have fractured her leg at the nursing home.
Another employee at the nursing home told police that he remembers the victim crying and in pain on the day that Simmons was trying to change her diaper.
Officers spoke with Simmons who allegedly told them that she rolled the victim in her bed when she "slightly touched her head to the wall" accidentally.
