Milwaukee's Holiday Folk Fair returns as in-person event after 2 years virtual
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee's Holiday Folk Fair is coming back as an in-person event.
The celebration of cultures went virtual for the last two years, but the organizers announced Monday, April 18 that the 79th annual fair will run from Friday, Nov. 18 through Sunday, Nov. 20 at the State Fair Park Expo Center.
That means you can taste the food, dance in the same room to the music, and enjoy all the sights, sounds and tastes that this event has to offer.
“As a participant in Holiday Folk Fair International for 51 years, I am thrilled we will bring the fun, excitement, and family experience of this treasured event to the community in 2022,” said Donna Roeber, the International Institute of Wisconsin chairperson. “We have started working with the amazing groups that have made Folk Fair a special celebration and they are ecstatic to be planning their participation in this year’s event, whether it be via dance, food, or exhibition of their culture.”
Special attractions for 2022 will include international performers, artisans and photographic exhibits. Some activities will also be shared live via the event's Facebook page.
Hours on Friday, Nov. 18 will be 2 p.m. – 9 p.m.; 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19; and 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20.
Tickets go on sale in October.
