MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Wine Academy's third annual MKE Wine Weekend runs April 9-13, bringing five days of tastings, conversations and a film screening to venues across the city.
Tim Cole, co-founder of Milwaukee Wine Academy, and wine instructor Jessica Janz-McKnight joined us on Monday, April 6 with a preview of what to expect during the weekend.
Highlights include The GoodLand Wine Expo on Saturday, April 11, featuring more than 60 wines from Black winemakers, women, people of color and lesser-known regions. A free screening of the documentary "Blind Ambition" is scheduled for Sunday, April 12 at Radio Milwaukee, followed by a fireside chat and tasting with Zimbabwean winemaker Tinashe Nyamudoka.
The weekend kicks off Thursday, April 9 with a free happy hour at Thelma Carole Wine Merchants and wraps Monday, April 13 with a class at Villa Terrace Museum & Gardens.
