MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- School may be out for the weekend, but it didn't stop some local girls from learning.
The Girls Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast teamed up with Milwaukee School of Enginering (MSOE) for their annual STEM Day.
More than 100 scouts attended from grades two to five got the chance to learn all about things like robotics, engineering, entertainment and technology.
This year featured a special guest, Nuclear Engineer Grace Stenke.
"It is really an exciting time as a nuclear engineer, I always wanted to have a couple more female role models to have real conversations with and to just have the ability to connect with them. So, I'm here today to help share my story and to help educate people on nuclear science," said Stanke.
Stanke is also a former Miss America. winning the title while representing Wisconsin in 2023.
