MPD: 14-year-old shoots 16-year-old during fight over shoes near 61st and Carmen

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 14-year-old boy shot a 16-year-old boy during an argument over shoes, according to Milwaukee police. 

The shooting happened near North 61st and Carmen on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 11.

Milwaukee police say the 14-year-old shot the 16-year-old several times. 

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. 

The 14-year-old suspect was taken into custody. 

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
