MPD: 2 dead following shooting near 52nd and Center

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal shooting that reportedly left both a 28-year-old victim and a 38-year-old suspect dead.

The situation unfolded near 52nd and Center on Friday, Oct. 13 at around 2:40 a.m. A victim was taken to a local hospital for gunshot wound treatment but did not survive.

The suspect was found at the scene with what officials believe to be a self-inflicted gunshot injury and was pronounced dead.

MPD's report suggests that the shooting may be related to an earlier verbal argument and domestic violence. The investigation continues, and police are not seeking additional suspects.
