MPD: 29-year-old dies in late-night crash after car struck at high speed

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred late Wednesday, July 3. It happened shortly after 11:30 p.m. near 11th and Wisconsin.
A 29-year-old driver was ejected from their car after being struck by another car traveling westbound at what police describe as a high speed.
Despite life-saving measures, the driver of the struck car was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was identified by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office Friday as David Starks.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 23-year-old, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is now in custody.
The investigation is ongoing, with charges pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
