Off-duty Milwaukee firefighter injured in shooting near 105th and Hampton

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- MPD says the off-duty Milwaukee firefighter injured in a shooting Monday night has been released from the hospital and is recovering with his family.

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 4900 block of N. 105th St. Monday, Nov. 11.

The victim is a 26-year-old off-duty Milwaukee firefighter who had an encounter with a man who wanted to steal his car, according to Deputy Fire Chief Mike Blackwood.

The victim sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound and is recovering at a local hospital, according to police. 

Police are seeking a 25-year-old black male wearing dark clothing, and an older model red, Toyota 4-door car.
