MPD: Vehicle pursuit results in fatal crash near 35th and Galena

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police were involved in a vehicle pursuit near 28th and Galena around 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. 

Police observed a car speeding and when officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop,t he driver refused to stop and a pursuit ensued.

Officials say the pursuit ended a minute later when the car ran a stop sign at 1700 35th and crashed into another car causing the other car to roll onto its roof.

The driver of the striking car fled on food.

The driver of the car that was struck, a 46-year-old man, was rushed to a hospital where he later died, according to police. 

A 46-year-old man and 48-year-old woman were later arrested in connection to the incident.

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.

Police say a vehicle collided with another car while trying to avoid police.

A 46-year-old man died at a local hospital due to his injuries. 

The police have been an arrest regarding the incident.

The incident remains under investigation.
