MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A woman is seriously hurt after being struck by a driver near 18th and Atkinson Thursday night, June 3. 

Milwaukee police say it happened at approximately 10 p.m. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. 

According to police, the driver of the striking vehicle -- a 51-year-old Milwaukee man -- resisted arrest which resulted in use of force. 

The man was arrested o suspicion of OWI. 

Police say criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
