MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Keith Posley stopped at the Wisconsin Center Tuesday morning, March 2, to get a COVID shot.
Educators like Dr. Posley are now eligible to get the vaccine, but he says he's representing more than just teachers.
"The African American community, which I represent, has had some apprehension about taking vaccines, and there's a long history of that," Dr. Posley said. "And I just want to be an example that science is on the side of this and this is safe."
Dr. Posley also said whenever the school board approves reopening MPS classrooms, there will still be an option for virtual learning, because not everyone will want to come back.
