Multiple houses catch fire near 36th and Mt. Vernon

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee firefighters responded to a fire near 36th and Mt. Vernon Friday morning, Aug. 4.
The call to officials came in around 5 a.m.
Authorities say two homes are involved in the fire and sustained major damages.
Eight people were displaced due to the blaze. The Red Cross provided emergency assistance.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
