WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A groundbreaking in West Allis Monday for a project that may come as a big relief to people who need to see a doctor.
Aurora is building a new clinic near 65th and Greenfield, replacing its current center about 7 blocks away.
The new clinic has a team approach to care.
If a patient comes in and needs the services of more than one doctor, those doctors will all come to the patient's room during an extended appointment.
"What this does is it allows for the convenient of the patient not having to wait out in the waiting room, go back in the waiting room go back into the room, big gaps of space that will be greatly reduced," said Dr. Kayla Flores with Aurora Health Care.
Actual construction will begin in a few weeks. The West Allis clinic is scheduled to open by the end of next year.
