MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Aids Resource Center of Wisconsin is launching a new marketing campaign in the city of Milwaukee.

The campaign is designed to reach black gay and bisexual men and trans-women aged 25 to 34.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, that is the demographic most at risk.

In 2017 alone, 118 people in Milwaukee were newly diagnosed with HIV and 83% of the new diagnoses were among people of color.

"Our 'Stay Prepped Up' campaign that we're launching today is targeted at these communities, it's targeted at these individuals who can benefit the most from prep and get this life-saving intervention for themselves and their loved ones."
