(MILWAUKEE) - A new study from Penn State revealed that the average U.S. Household wastes about a third of the food they buy, sending nearly $1,900 out the window each year. It’s a problem a group of crusaders in Milwaukee hope to address as they work daily to keep unwanted food and other material out of landfills in order to create a more sustainable culture and future. It's a dirty job, but one members of Compost Crusader gladly accept.
On CBS 58 Sunday Morning, Cearron Bagenda tagged along with the Compost Crusader crew as they visited several Milwaukee restaurants.
