New infections in Wisconsin fall below 500

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- For the first time in several days, new infections in Wisconsin fell below 500.

There were 462 positive tests reported Saturday, March 13.

That is down 550 new cases reported from Friday. However, it is still above the seven day average, which sits at 428.

There were 13 covid-related deaths reported Saturday, which brings the total number of deaths to 6,538.

More than 21% of residents have gotten their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Nearly 12% are now fully vaccinated.

Two in every three Wisconsin resident 65-years-old and older have had one dose, and 38% are fully vaccinated.
