Police: Man arrested after threating staff at Democratic Party office in West Bend

WEST BEND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A man has been taken into custody after he made threatening statements towards staff at the Democratic Party of Washington County Office in West Bend. 

According to law enforcement, a 69-year-old man from Cedarburg entered the Democratic Party of Washington County Office around 12 p.m. today, Oct. 17, and began a verbal confrontation with staff about their political views.

The argument escalated into the man becoming disorderly and making threats causing the people there to feel unsafe. 

West Bend police identified the man and located him at his residence. He admitted to making the threatening statements. 

He was taken into custody on disorderly conduct charges.
