Signs of fall are here: leaves changing color and earlier sunsets
So far September has been very dry. Through the first ten days of the month Milwaukee has only picked up 0.02" of rainfall officially which is over an inch below average. It is tied for the 14th driest start to September on record and we likely rise in those rankings with no good rains the next few days.
There are some sprinkles out there this Wednesday morning but nothing that is really accumulating besides getting the pavement wet in a few isolated areas. We dry out nicely for Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday then we start to see clouds associated with Hurricane Francine arrive by Friday bringing a stray chance for a shower.
Francine likely makes landfall in Louisiana as a Category 2 Hurricane sometime Wednesday afternoon then moves north into southern Missouri/Illinois by Friday. The remnants of Francine could bring us a chance for rain and storms in Wisconsin on Sunday.
Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather app to track the latest on Francine's track and see how our rain chances change the next few days.
