Oconomowoc police investigating quick-change scam at grocery store

OCONOMOWOC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Oconomowoc Police Department is currently investigating a quick-change scam that happened at a local grocery store.

It happened around 10:22 a.m. on February 1st in the 1300 block of Brown Street. 

According to police, the suspect made a small purchase, gave the clerk several $100 bills, and asked for $20 bills in return. The suspect then took half of the $20 bills, handed the rest back, and asked for her $100 bills back.

During the exchange, the suspect also requested a money order which the store doesn't have.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Oconomowoc Police Department.
