OCONOMOWOC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- If you love to answer, "the call of the wild," a very unique program at the "Wildlife in Need Center" might be just for you.
The Oconomowoc nature center is looking for young volunteers, between 12 and 14, to help do the feeding of hundreds of orphaned birds. You need a guardian at least 18 years old with you. Those at least 15 years old can volunteer on their own. Keep in mind, the centers serves animals only in Waukesha, Washington, Jefferson, and Dodge Counties, but volunteers are welcome from everywhere.
To participate in this particular program, you have to take part in an orientation class happening April 30th between 1 and 4 p.m. There's another session for adult volunteers on May 7th from 1 to 4 p.m. Contact the center if you're interested by emailing Lynn at [email protected].
