WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Dodge County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a man who failed to return from a medical evaluation while on a court-ordered Huber privilege.
Andrew Mykel Zirbel, whose date of birth is May 23, 1987, now has an active arrest warrant through Dodge County.
Huber privileges allow inmates to leave the jail for specific purposes, such as work or medical appointments. Failure to return from a Huber release is a violation of the privilege and may result in additional criminal charges.
According to the sheriff's office, Zirbel's last known residence is on W. Burnett Street in Beaver Dam, but initial information suggests he may be at a residence in the city of Waupun.
The public is being asked to provide any information that may lead to the apprehension of Andrew Zirbel.
However, the sheriff's office also warns against making direct contact with Zirbel. In the interest of public safety, they do not want anyone to put themselves in harm's way. Instead, anyone with information on Zirbel's whereabouts is advised to contact the Dodge County Sheriff's Office at (920) 386-3726 or any local law enforcement agency.
Officials have not yet released any further information on the circumstances surrounding Zirbel's disappearance. The investigation is ongoing.
