Man dies after being crushed by machine at Palermo's Pizza facility in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Palermo's Pizza spokeswoman confirmed on Wednesday, Sept. 17 that the death of an employee took place.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 45-year-old Robert Cherone of Elkhorn.
The medical examiner's office says Chereone was working at the plant when he was crushed by a robotic machine.
The Palermo's spokeswoman, Rebecca Schimke, said, "The tragic accident that took an employees’ life earlier today is a terrible incident that is being fully investigated. We are cooperating with government officials and gathering facts. Palermo’s will be supporting the employee’s family and next of kin."
She also said that the company will be offering counseling and support services.
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed to CBS 58 that they were called to respond to the death of an individual in the area of 38th and Lincoln in the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 17.
