MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman has been charged after she allegedly bit a police officer.
Court documents say on Oct. 13, officers responded to the Walmart on Brown Deer Road for a report of two women “causing a disturbance.”
The criminal complaint says police tried to speak with the two women involved but both were uncooperative. Officials say one of the women, identified as Shanterrica Johnson, refused to provide her identity.
Police say officers spent about 20 minutes trying to get Johnson’s real identity. Police attempted to arrest Johnson for obstructing but she resisted.
The Brown Deer Police Department released body camera video of the incident Thursday.
According to the criminal complaint, Johnson bit one of the officers in the arm and needed to be tased to be arrested.
Johnson was charged with one count of battery to a law enforcement officer.
Her next court appearance is set for Oct. 30.
