Old World Wisconsin seeks seasonal staff for historically inspired roles

EAGLE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Old World Wisconsin is now hiring for its seasonal positions, offering history buffs a chance to time travel to the 19th century and experience the daily lives of Wisconsin's earliest residents.

The facility is seeking part-time, seasonal employees for various historically inspired roles that will allow individuals to learn new skills based on old-world methods.

Guest experience facilitator roles include 19th-century baseball players, historic brewers, one-room schoolhouse teachers, 19th-century farmers, 1890s high wheel cyclists, woodstove cooks and bakers, soda water bartenders, oxen drivers, blacksmiths, leatherworkers, spinners and weavers, general store clerks and historic gardeners.

Interested applicants will undergo training sessions before taking on their new roles, allowing them to provide an authentic experience for guests.

Old World Wisconsin is open from May to September, with varying schedules throughout the summer.
