MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – One person is dead following an ATV crash in Mount Pleasant.
According to police, the crash happened early Friday morning near Braun Road and Wheaton Lane.
Authorities say the driver and a passenger were ejected from the ATV around 1:40 a.m. The driver died at the scene. The passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
It was later learned alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. Police say the ATV driver ignored road closed signs and crashed in a rocky ravine.
The names of the driver and passenger are not being released at this time.
The crash remains under investigation.
