UNION GROVE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A hometown nonprofit is giving back to veterans in need.
Ground Zero Veterans Outreach helps homeless veterans find a place to live and runs a resale store without taking a dime for vets.
On Monday, July 1, the group held their first-ever "Pack the Pickup" event.
Bouche Auto Group came in and stocked their pantry with plenty of items for veterans -- things like toilet paper, cleaning supplies, linens and food.
All items were available to veterans free of charge.
"Someone knows where they're coming from, and without judgement can walk in and get what they need and walk out and know someone cares. truly, truly cares and knows what they're going through," said Donna Kelly, Ground Zero Veterans Outreach president.
Ground Zero Veterans Outreach -- located at 1011 Main Street in Union Grove -- is open Tuesday through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Vets shop free for goods and supplies with the military ID.
