MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 61-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash near in Milwaukee on Tuesday, March 19. 

Police say it happened just before 2 p.m. near 13th and Atkinson. 

The 61-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

The vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled the scene.

Officials say the vehicle is believed to be a blue 2006-2007 four-door Honda Accord with a black front bumper. The car should have extensive damage to the windshield and may have damage to the front bumper and hood, and a missing driver side headlamp. 

Police say the vehicle was last seen traveling east on W. Atkinson Avenue from the 1300 block. Anyone who encounters the vehicle is asked to call 911.
