Pedestrian struck and injured near 76th and Silver Spring, driver in custody

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a crash that occurred on Saturday, Jan. 11. 

It happened near 76th and Silver Spring around 5:25 p.m.

Police say a pedestrian, a 52-year-old, was crossing the street and was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound. 

The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. 

The driver of the vehicle, a 45-year-old, was taken into custody.

Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee Country District Attorney's Office.

The investigation is ongoing.
