RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Racine County Sheriff's Office says one person is dead after being struck by a passing vehicle along I-94 Northbound on Sat. Nov. 8.

Officials say they were dispatched at around 10:51 a.m. for a person who had stopped their vehicle on the shoulder of the interstate and was struck by a passing vehicle between Highway K and Highway G.

The Racine County Sheriff's Office says the victim was outside of their vehicle at the time of the incident.

Officials say all lanes on I-94 between Highway K and Highway G are now open.

Meanwhile, northbound lanes of I-94 will be closed for several hours while the Sheriff’s Major Crash Assistance Team investigates the incident.

Traffic on I-94 southbound is fully open.
