Pleasant April weather expected through the weekend

We're seeing abundant sunshine across southeast Wisconsin this morning with temperatures sitting in the mid to upper 40s.

Today will be very similar to Friday with a lake breeze expected to develop around midday and slowly push inland through the course of the afternoon and early evening. This will keep lakeside areas in the upper 40s to around 50° today, while inland areas climb into the mid to upper 50s. Sunshine may be filtered by thin clouds at times, but with light winds it will be a great day to be outside!

A few more clouds will roll in overnight tonight with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies expected on Sunday. Although a lake breeze may develop Sunday afternoon, it looks to be a southeast wind so lakeside areas should warm into the mid 50s while inland spots top out near 60°.

The warm up will be short lived as a strong cold front moves through Monday morning, dropping temps back into the 40s for highs through the middle of the week.

Rain showers are likely behind the cold front on Monday and could mix with some wet snow on Tuesday. Download the CBS 58 Ready Weather App to track the lake breeze and wet weather for early next week.
