FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Franklin police are investigating after a 41-year-old woman was found dead inside a motel room. 

Police say just before 4:45 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 5, a 911 caller reported someone had been found lying on the floor in a motel room at the Modern 41 Motel, located on South 27th Street. 

The 41-year-old female victim, according to police, is from Milwaukee. Police are treating this case as a homicide. 

There is no evidence indicating a threat to the public.
