Police respond to fight outside Barack Obama School of Career and Technical Education

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police say they responded to a large fight near Barack Obama School of Career and Technical Education Friday, March 31.

Officials say the fight took place outside the school around 3:15 p.m.

At least one juvenile was said to be injured. 

Milwaukee Public Schools released the following statement Friday evening:

"Today during dismissal, members of the community were involved in an incident outside of the school building. The Milwaukee Police Department was called. Our top priority is the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff. We take all reports of potential harm seriously and take all necessary measures to keep our school safe."

An investigation is ongoing.
