Polling location experiences early morning technical problems, currently resolved

CBS 58

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Saveland Park Pavilion polling location on the city's south side reportedly experienced problems early Tuesday, Nov. 3.

A Tuesday 9:45 a.m. Wisconsin Elections Commission update, administrator Meagan Wolfe formally discussed problems of that nature. She said when machines are jammed, or there are networking issues, polling places revert to accepting ballots using an auxiliary bin. She added that such problems are resolved quickly, with no ballots being at risk of going uncounted.

"So, sometimes there might be a paper jam or other things that happen with technology that feeds paper through. Usually those are resolved very quickly, and as soon as it's resolved, then any of the ballots that were stored in the locked auxiliary bin will be fed through the tabulator and added to the totals just like all of the other ballots." - Meagan Wolfe

Our crews on the scene confirmed that the problem has been resolved, with ballots now being accepted normally.
