Port Washington teacher arrested in child exploitation investigation

PORT WASHINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 38-year-old man from Port Washington has been arrested following a criminal investigation into child sexual abuse material, according to the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators identified the man as Ryan C. Kruse. According to the sheriff’s office, he was employed as a teacher at Forest Friends Learning Place in West Bend and previously worked at Tiny Sprouts Child Care Center in Port Washington.
Authorities said a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to the investigation Friday, March 28.
Deputies reportedly executed a search warrant Monday, March 31 at Kruse’s residence and seized electronic items.
He was charged with possession of child pornography and sexual exploitation of a child. His initial court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1.
