Precious NICU babies dress for the holidays at Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The littlest patients at Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine are ready for the holidays.
As they will be spending Christmas in the hospital, NICU babies Zuri Allen and Kashmiere Munger were featured in a special holiday-themed photoshoot wearing precious red, green, and white stocking hats.
According to the hospital, Zuri was born at Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine on Nov. 15, weighing 1 pound 6 ounces. She is now almost 2 and a half pounds.
Kashmiere Munger was born at Ascension All Saints Hospital in Racine on Oct. 15, weighing 1 pound 10 ounces. She now weighs close to 4 pounds.
Ascension All Saints Hospital NICU nurse, Loretta Myers, captured the delightful images with help from fellow nurse, Megan Konicek and her friend Jennifer Hardin from Jennifer Hardin Photography, to create the special keepsake for the proud parents.
The hospital says Loretta has been a NICU nurse at Ascension All Saints Hospital for 25 years. She understands how hard it is for families to be separated while loved ones are in the hospital and hopes these sweet images of Zuri and Kashmiere, on their healing journey, will be cherished for years to come.
Zuri’s Mom, Tartoriauna Allen, said she couldn’t believe how cute the photo turned out and has already shared it with family and friends who haven’t been able to meet Zuri yet. She added, “Zuri is doing well and getting stronger every day.”
Both families are grateful to the Ascension All Saints NICU nurses for sharing their compassion and creativity.
So sweet!
