GREEN BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Prevea Health announced in a statement Saturday, Nov. 6 that their long-standing partnership with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has ended.
The news release detailed that Prevea Health, a health care organization founded in Green Bay in 1996, made the decision to end their partnership effective Nov. 6, 2021.
Saturday's announcement comes after Rodgers made controversial statements during an appearance on 'The Pat McAfee Show' where the Packers quarterback detailed his thoughts on topics including the COVID-19 vaccine, politics, NFL policy and his personal health beliefs.
"Prevea Health remains deeply committed to protecting its patients, staff, providers and communities amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes encouraging and helping all eligible populations to become vaccinated against COVID-19 to prevent the virus from further significantly impacting lives and livelihoods" the organization said in a statement.
Rodgers had been a partner and spokesperson with Prevea Health since 2012.
Prevea Health ended its statement declaring no additional information or interviews will be provided on this topic.
