Hundreds of MPS students gather at American Family Field for college, career kickoff

CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Hundreds of Milwaukee Public Schools students visited American Family Field Wednesday, Sept. 23 for the Kickoff College, Career Effort event with GEAR UP.
Students chanted words of empowerment, such as, "I belong, we matter, we grow, together" during the event, which is part of a support program that begins in grade school and follows students throughout their academic journey to help prepare them for college and careers.
