Racine County Sheriff's Office makes 5 OWI arrests in 5-hour span

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Racine County sheriff's deputies made five impaired driving arrests between the hours of 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27. 

A 59-year-old Waukesha man was arrested for felony OWI, his sixth offense, following a traffic stop in the Town of Dover. Officials say the man had an open cup of wine in the cup holder of the vehicle. A breath sample registered at .218. 

A 47-year-old Kenosha man was arrested for OWI, and possession of THC, after a traffic stop on I-94. The driver was cited for speeding and a subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered more than 70 grams of weed. 

A 21-year-old Illinois man was arrested for operating with a restricted controlled substance after a traffic stop in the Town of Burlington. He was also cited for possession of THC and an ordinance citation for possession of drug paraphernalia. 

A 41-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for OWI, his second offense, following a traffic stop in the Village of Raymond. Officials say the man was stopped for a vehicle equipment violation, and provided a breath sample that registered at .089. 

A 30-year-old Illinois woman was arrested for OWI, her second offense, following a traffic stop in the Village of Union Grove. Authorities say she was stopped for erratic driving and failing to stop at a stop sign. The woman's driver's license was revoked due to her previous OWI conviction.
