- In the crisp fall air, stroll through the Zoo along a dedicated paved pathway and become immersed in dazzling lights and charming decorations. Follow the path and be fully immersed in Halloween with each step you take. For the 4th annual Halloween-themed event, the Racine Zoo is giving a new and fresh look to Jack-O’-Lantern Nights from Thursday, October 2 through Friday, October 31. From its debut in 2022, this event earned recognition as a nominee in the Innovation Award category for the 2023 Wisconsin Governor’s Tourism Awards, and we are thrilled to bring it back for year four with a fresh new look!

- Happy Hallowine! Prepare your taste buds for a Halloween-themed night of wine tasting from your very own souvenir sampling glass. Dive into hors d'oeuvres and visit with an animal ambassador. - Calling all little ghosts and goblins! Enjoy safe, outdoor trick-or-treating all day with the animals at the Zoo! On this Halloween-themed, fun-filled day you can enjoy: Trick-or-Treat "Knock-Knock" Doors, a spooky cookie decorating, Halloween crafts, pumpkin decorating, find and meet our special creepy, crawly animal ambassadors, and more haunted surprises! Food and drinks available for purchase
- Boo at the Zoo is included with regular Zoo admission! Zoo Members and children 2 years and younger are free. Adult: $11, Senior (62 and older): $10, Child (15 and younger): $9, Military (with ID): $5
Lil Explorers Preschool Classes:
Lil’ Explorers preschool programs provide children ages 2-5 and their caregivers with the opportunity to spend one hour at the zoo meeting and learning about our resident animals in a structured and safe environment.
· Build essential skills such as letter, number, sound, shape, and color recognition
· Create wildlife-themed crafts
· Learn through engaging activities and games
· Enjoy a small snack during story time
Classes are offered in 4-session series throughout the year, with each series focusing on a different theme. Past themes have included Rambunctious Reptiles, Pollinator Pals, Cold-Weather Critters, and Backyard Habitats. Visit the registration link below to sign up!
